Behind the Tiles
THE CRAFT
Each tile panel is decorated using different techniques. Some are hand-painted with ceramic glaze — individually made, exclusive, one-of-a-kind pieces. Others are created through carefully chosen methods that allow for fine detail and gentle repetition, while still preserving the character of the original artwork.
While the process may vary, the care and attention remain the same — and so does the intention to create something lasting and personal.
FIRING
After decorating, the tiles are fired in a ceramic kiln at around 1000°C. The heat transforms the surface: glazes melt, colors deepen, and details settle into their final form. It is a process that combines patience with a bit of alchemy — the outcome is never fully predictable, and that is part of the beauty.
TILING & DISPLAY
These tile panels are made to bring beauty into daily life.
You can:

Frame them as wall art

Build them into a kitchen, bathroom, or outdoor wall

Use them as heat-resistant trivets for pans or bottles

Simply lean them against a shelf or wall as a decorative object
Each panel comes with a layout guide and numbering.
Want to mount them permanently? I recommend using a plasterboard base with a small 1–2 mm joint. Prefer something temporary or flexible? A simple wooden frame or a few soft pads underneath will do just fine.

THE TILES
I work with a carefully selected range of ceramic tiles — chosen for how beautifully they respond to the glazing and firing process. Because once fired, the outcome is never entirely predictable: surface glazes can shift, colors may soften or turn matte, and pre-glazed tiles can react in unexpected ways.
Where possible, I work with leftover tiles, giving material that would otherwise be thrown away a new life.
For larger or custom pieces, I use these three high-quality tiles (shown on the right), ensuring consistency, durability, and a refined finish that will last for years.
