Custom Ceramic Commissions
Each ceramic tableau starts with your idea or wish — whether for a home interior, a personal memory, or a meaningful gift.
From there, I develop one or several composition proposals, exploring colour, atmosphere, format, and tile selection together with you to ensure the work fits both the space and the story.
Every piece is hand-painted using ceramic glaze techniques and fired in the kiln one or multiple times, depending on its complexity. As a result, each tableau is entirely unique.
The Process
Concept & Inspiration
We discuss your ideas, preferred colours and size.
Design Phase
I develop one or several composition proposals based on your input. Together we refine the concept, including atmosphere, colours and tile selection.
It's Painting Time!
Each tile is individually hand-painted using ceramic glazes. I build the composition in layers, working slowly by hand as brushstrokes, colour and texture gradually come together and the piece takes shape.
Kiln Firing
The tiles are fired at over 1000°C, where the powdered glaze melts and permanently fuses with the ceramic surface. The colours intensify and develop their final depth and glossy finish.
Pricing guidelines
Because every commission is unique,
prices vary depending on:

As a general guideline, custom commissions usually range between €50 and €65 per tile (starting from 4 tiles).
Simpler and more graphic designs may fall on the lower end of this range, while highly detailed or layered compositions may require a higher price point.
A single hand-painted tile starts from €120.
